Andy is a Junior at Brookfield East Highschool but is not your typical 16 year old. He is wise beyond his years and carries on a conversation as if he is 3 times his age. He is sweet, silly and loved by everyone he meets. Andy loves sports, all things mechanical and spending time with friends and family, but for Andy, one of his greatest joys has always been racing down a hill of snow.
Andy buckled on his first pair of skis at a very young age and has been the top Varsity racer on the ski team since Freshman year of highschool. He could be found on the local ski hill whenever he had a moment of free time.
On Christmas Day, Andy had a terrible accident while attempting a jump he had successfully performed countless times, he lost his balance and ultimately landed headfirst at the bottom of the hill.
Andy suffered a severe traumatic brain injury and his prognosis is not known at this time. He is under the care of one of the best teams in the region at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin which has been a great blessing.
It is expected that Andy will need long term care and extensive rehabilitation as he navigates his path towards recovery.
